A few photographs - since most of them were of clouds, magnificent scenery looking flat, and rain ....

Loch Lomond, not looking too bonnie

And prehistoric remains at Kilmartin (though I think it's all rather Victorian-restored....

The end of the fishing fleet on Mull

I got quite wet just getting out of the car to take photos of this waterfall - also on Mull.

The road to Fionnphort and the ferry to Iona - with rain, and then some blue sky (Hurrah!)

The Abbey

And the 13th Century Nunnery

We didn't get a chance to take photos of Ballynory - I mean Tobermory, because of heavy rain, and the second time, because the earlier ferry was still there, and waited for us to get on. So these are taken on the way to Skye...

The White Sands of Morar - looking grey because of the rain - don't be fooled by the blue sky *Sniffs*

Is that the boat waiting to take fleeing Jacobites to France?

Or is this it?

Leaving the mainland

And for the Peninsula, Boer War, and Gaelic fans, a street sign in Ullapool. I think the translator missed the point of the lack of a space....

Thank you for sharing these stunning photos - I love Iona, it's many years since I've been to Scotland and lovely to look at these.

Loch Lomond makes me think of Tintin.
